In today’s interview with Martine Davis we cover how to find mold in your home and the best practices for finding a great mold or air inspector. Martine explains how to take preventative measures to avoid mold growth, as well as what to do to clean up and remediate mold.
Martine Davis is Certified Building Biologist (BBEC), a graduate of ISU and the International Institute for Building Biology where she was a Senior Instructor for 17 years. She is Director of Instruction for the Mold & IAQ Board of Professional Ethics and is the author of the textbook “Advanced Indoor Air Quality Testing: A Manual for Professionals”.
She has held ACAC certifications as a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIE), Certified Microbial Investigator (CMI), Certified Residential Mold Inspector (CRMI), is IAC2 Mold Certified by InterNACHI, and was a licensed Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor in the State of Illinois.
She has inspected/tested more than 3,000 homes & commercial buildings. Her expertise includes indoor air quality inspections, mold and moisture investigations, sick building issues and odor investigations.
